Very satisfied with these plates after a month of use. They are much more efficient than the electric stove I had before and allow much more flexibility in the adjustment of the heater power. It is true that they are more noisy because of the fans but all induction hobs have fans and the noise is still very reasonable. It is much less noisy than a hood for example. The area of the control buttons is actually plastic, so could be damaged if it is laying on top of a hot frying pan, but the plates vitro-ceramic are large enough so that there is not much risk of that happening, except in the case of improper handling. Having a setting for the temperature and another for the power seems to be a concern for some. Yet, it is rather simple (although poorly explained in the documentation) : you can use either the one or the other, but of course not both at the same time.
